QUARTZ PROJECT
We plan to build a plant equipped with the latest innovative technology that can produce the cleanest low cost solar-grade silicon metal. It will be the first high-tech plant in Mongolia.
- We have 5 million tonnes of high grade quartz resources
- Project NPV is $1.4 billion (internal estimate)
- Quartz will be processed into Silicon Metal
- Initial silicon metal production capacity is 10,000 tonnes per annum and it will
increase up to 50,000 tonnes. - Silicon metal is one of the Critical Raw Materials by the EU, USA and China.
- Strong and stable growth in driving industries such as the PV, semiconductor, optical fiber and lamp tubing industries.
